letterpress and peas

andy and i swung by the printer’s row book fest in chicago this weekend.  we met a husband and wife who have been collecting letterpress for the last 25 years.  printer’s row book fest is the only show they do. i love the colors, textures, sizes, numbers, letters . . . .

i arrived home tonight to find that the peas we planted last weekend had already sprouted.  it will be quite a while before our little crop is ready for harvest so i decided to pick up a pound from the south bend farmer’s market and satisfy the craving i’ve been carrying around since february.

fresh peas with sweet danish butter
farm fresh egg – fried
ricotta with grassy olive oil, seasalt, and fresh cracked pepper

Lovely to read about the little swallow’s adventures far from home and enjoying the photos, dinner looks yummy and inspiring.
